Hi! I’m Maria Bywater, the author of Sew Jewish and a member of the Jewish Book Council’s READ ON Speakers’ Program. I’d love to lead your community in a hands-on sewing or embroidery workshop that celebrates Jewish life and our rich tradition of Jewish needlecrafts.
JBC Network Members: If your organization is a member of the Jewish Book Council Network, contact the JBC to arrange a hands-on workshop.
Non-JBC Network Members: Contact me directly about arranging a workshop using the contact form at the bottom of the page. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hands-On Jewish Sewing Workshops
Participants have fun creating Jewish-themed projects while learning beginner sewing and embroidery skills. Workshops are available for all skill levels including beginner, and can involve sewing machines or hand sewing or embroidery. These projects are great for Sisterhood meetings, young people, and families. Get more details on the Workshops page.
The kits are also available to purchase at a special group rate if you’d like to plan a workshop with your own local instructor.
