“My beloved” wedding tapestry for chuppah or backdrop banner

I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine wedding tapestry

The most romantic verse in the Jewish canon is probably “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine” from the Song of Songs. In my mind, the line always pairs with another line from that psalm:  “Their banner over me was love.”

Both of those lines make me think ‘wedding canopy’.

I’m so in love with this new wedding tapestry, with that most romantic line, that can be used not only as a chuppah canopy, but as a backdrop banner for a wedding.

It’s available in several sizes. You can find this wedding tapestry in the Sew Jewish Etsy shop.

For a large chuppah canopy, there’s a 104” x 88” horizontal version (In feet, that’s a little larger than 8.5’ x 7’).

For a small canopy, there is a 80“ x 68“ size (in feet, that’s a little larger than 6.5’ x 5.5’).

For a decorative backdrop, in addition to those larger sizes, there is a smaller 60” x 50” option.

Each size is available in a horizontal and a vertical version to give you more options.

This tapestry is a new version of a chuppah offering I introduced last year. That item is a cut and sew canopy, printed on a large fabric with a printed square cutting line for clients to cut out and finish the edges on their own to create a square canopy.

What’s different about this version is that the edges of the fabric are already finished, and there is no cutting line on the fabric, so you have a large printed fabric to attach and drape on your chuppah or backdrop frame in the way that works for you. This version is also available in more sizes.

The tapestry was inspired by a client who loved the design of the original cut and sew canopy but wanted fabric with finished edges that she could simply drape from her chuppah frame. The photo she sent of the chuppah on her wedding day, with the corners of the tapestry gathered to the top corners of her chuppah frame and with the excess fabric draped down from the top of the frame was so lovely. I realized I had to add this version to official canopy options in my Etsy shop.

The tapestry is available in three sizes, with each size available in a horizontal and a vertical version, to give you the size you need, whether you are looking to use it for your chuppah or as a backdrop.

You can find this wedding tapestry in the Sew Jewish Etsy shop.

I love being inspired by a client’s vision, so if you have a vision for a canopy I’m not currently offering, I’d love to hear from you.
